FM spokesperson: China ready to enhance energy cooperation with Russia

BEIJING, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhang Qiyue announced here Thursday that energy cooperation is an important part in Sino-Russian relations and that China was willing to enhance it with Russia.

In his recent visit to Russia, Premier Wen Jiabao reached four common understandings with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov in energy cooperation, which included both sides' decision to further strengthen cooperation in oil and natural gas, Russia's consideration of its Far East oil pipeline ...
