Article: Commissioners vow action on Depot Street

GREENVILLE - Depot Street residents who have long sought relief from speeding motorists on their narrow street appealed to Piscataquis County commissioners Tuesday for help.

Resident Harold Blanchard said he has heard promises over the years by previous boards that speed bumps and crosswalks would be installed to reduce the speeds but nothing has been done. He and others had even presented a petition in the past asking that it become a dead-end street.

"Can we someday have some relief?" Blanchard asked.
