BRAINTREE - A Dorchester woman has been charged in a gift card scam at South Shore Plaza.

Police arrested Mokeisha A. Lacy, 32, Friday night after receiving a report she and a male companion used a stolen or fraudulent gift card at the Foot Action store.

Sgt. Jeffrey Smith and Police Officer Paul Campbell found the couple near Miltons. Police said Lacy began to shred a sales receipt when Smith asked to question her.

Store employees told police that Lacy showed a gift card to pay for a pair of sneakers and then wanted to return the sneakers and requested a gift card for the ...
