You would think a washing machine that carries the name "high- efficiency" would be an environmentally friendly model. You would be mistaken.

My wife and I decided to go green with our laundry about eight years ago. And by "go green" I mean we spent a washtub full of it on a high-efficiency washer that used less water and employed a high- spin cycle that dried clothes better so you didn't need to use the dryer as much. We felt really good about lightening our impact on the environment while still getting our whites whitened and colors brightened.
