After 22 years of brewing, promoting and enjoying Pittsburgh's
own Penn Brewery beers, founder Tom Pastorius' ardor for craft
brewing remains steadfast.
This Saturday, he spreads the gospel as he greets guests at the
Pennsylvania Microbrewers Fest at the North Side brewery.
"I've never considered craft beer a fad," Pastorius says. "This
is the real, authentic beer the rest of the world has been drinking
for hundreds of years."
This weekend, 22 craft breweries from seven states will serve
more than 100 distinct beer samples.
"But this will not be just another beer bash," Pastorius says.
