The Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics were in agreement on a couple of things as the hours ticked down toward the tip-off of Game 1 of the NBA Finals this evening at the TD Banknorth Garden.

Not only were the Lakers and Celtics ecstatic about being in a position to compete for a championship but they were also feeling an additional sense of anticipation since they would be renewing one of the more storied rivalries in all of professional sports.
