A torbay martial arts club has been voted Britain's best of the
year.
Becky and Jon Lees, who run the TYGA Martial Arts club at
Paignton Community and Sports College and hold regular sessions at
the Toorak Hotel in Torquay, attended the third annual UK Black Belt
Hall of Fame awards night which recognises the leading martial
artists from all systems worldwide and is the biggest award ceremony
for martial artists in the UK.
Becky and Jon were awarded the title of Masters of the Year
marking them as part of a select group of the world's top martial
artists in the sport.
This award gives the two instructors the rank of martial arts
master - higher than the sensei rank they previously held.
