Stephanie Woollon meets a talented young show jumper who's proving that disability is no bar to sporting success - in and out of the saddle

Justine Bowers, 16, is not your average show jumper. Born with a malformed left hand, she has to ride with a special pair of reins, but this certainly doesn't impede her achievements in a variety of sporting activities.

She started riding at the age of two when her late grandad decided she had been thoroughly bitten by the horse bug. She joined the local Pony Club and started her competitive sporting career participating in triathlons (running swimming and shooting) and pentathlons (riding, swimming, shooting, running and fencing).
