Long John Silver
It's pirates ahoy, as a swashbuckling stage production of
Treasure Island comes to Hanley this month, writes Tamzin Hindmarch
AH-HARRRRRGH, me mateys! It's true. In little over a week's time,
Long John Silver and his rum crew will be coasting into the Cultural
Quarter to retell Robert Louis Stevenson's children's classic,
complete with sword-fights, smoking cannons, and glittering
doubloons.
For those who need a refresher guide to the original story - to
which this particular Birmingham Stage Company production sticks
closely - the tale is as follows.
