What have I let myself in for? I am alone on top of a surfboard,
trying precariously to keep my balance as the board bobs and weaves
over the slippery surface. Worse, I have never been on a board
before - and I never learned to swim...
Just as well I'm on dry land then, and the only rollers I am near
belong to the giant machine underneath me.
In fact, I'm having the time of my life on top of a brand new
surf simulator called the Brush Ramp, being coached by its
Australian creator, Kyle Dent, 37, who has been surfing since the
age of 11.
"This is the one and only such machine in the world," he said.
Kyle has spent three years perfecting the Brush Ramp, which has
dozens of rotating brushes ...
