The annual general meeting (AGM), which was held in London, gave Mr O'Brien, who launched a similar attack on the company in Belfast last year, a second attempt to rally institutional support as he sought to block the re-election of directors and the adoption of the company's accounts.

Yet the voting pattern of shareholders suggests that not only did he fail to win support, but, after a year of attacking the company, even fewer shareholders voted against the company than at last year's AGM.
