Meet the great-grandmother who has saved Uplands Post Office.

Disabled Mary Davies will lose a vital link with the outside world if the branch closes.

The 74-year-old has bravely stood up for her neighbours who rely on the post office in Springhill Road and fought to keep it open through the courts.

A last-minute deal was struck between her legal team and Post Office Ltd on Monday, just before an application for an injunction to keep it open until a judicial review on its future could be heard.
