Lake Delton -- Until Monday morning, Judy Skille could look out her large picture window and see her father's handiwork.

The only child of Ralph Hines, Skille was proud to say that her father was the engineer and general manager of the project that scooped Lake Delton out the earth.

After he finished overseeing the construction, he took over the property when the original owner went belly-up, and Hines helped many people build their dream homes on the lake.
