PLAYER OF THE GAME
Minnesota third baseman Brian Buscher delivered one key at-bat
after another in the late going. He cracked a sacrifice fly in the
seventh to pull the Twins within a run, singled to lead off the
ninth and scored the go-ahead run, then finally won it for the Twins
with a two-run single in the 12th.
TURNING POINT
Prince Fielder came within inches of winning the game for the
Brewers with two outs in the bottom of the 10th. Fielder sent a
drive to deep left-center that he thought cleared the fence, but
umpires ruled the ball in play and he had to settle for a triple.
Replays showed the ball caromed off the yellow stripe atop the wall
and did not go over.
