Hanoi to slash public expenses to curb inflation

HANOI, June 16 (Xinhua) -- Hanoi will cut 167 billion VND (9.5 million U.S. dollars) in public expenses as part of its plan to curb soaring inflation and stabilize the Vietnamese capital's economy over the next six months, Vietnam News Agency reported here Monday.
