2nd Ld-Writethru: May 12 quake kills 365, injures 10,158 in Gansu
Province
BEIJING, June 16 (Xinhua) -- The May 12 earthquake in Sichuan
Province killed 365 people and injured 10,158 others in neighboring
Gansu Province as of Saturday, Vice Governor Feng Jianshen told a
press conference on Monday.
Nearly 1.8 million people have been evacuated and resettled in
Gansu, the second worst-hit province after Sichuan.
Direct losses from the quake in Gansu hit 44.28 billion yuan
(6.33 billion U.S. dollars), according to initial estimates of the
provincial earthquake bureau.
As of Saturday, more than 1.29 million households comprising 5
million people were affected by the quake in the province. ...
