Robed in black graduation gowns, standing in front of a crowd of
parents, peers and friends, Rockbridge Academy seniors recently
delivered their theses, covering topics ranging from politics and
society to music, culture and art. The students then defended their
theses under cross-examination by faculty and board members.
The Senior Thesis is a year-long project designed to prepare
students for rigorous and independent thinking and skillful
articulation of their ideas.
"The thesis truly represents the sum total of what we are
striving for at Rockbridge Academy," said senior Chris Janvier. "I
