Hay Fever sufferers in the county face yet more days of heavy
sneezing and sniffing this week.
There are risks of moderate or high grass pollen counts forecast
across Gloucestershire all this week.
Stroud is one of the county's hay fever hotspot according to
allergy therapist Julie Pease.
She said: "The worst places are anywhere that is low-lying, such
as a valley.
"People going towards Stroud or the Forest of Dean suffer greatly
from hay fever because the air is more condensed there."
Lindsey McManus, from Allergy UK, said that grass pollen is what
is causing hay fever at the moment, along with certain strains of
tree pollen. Almost 95% of hay fever sufferers have allergies to
grass pollen.
