Ahuge shadow has been cast over the future of Airbus at Filton
after unions claimed there are plans in place to hive off the most
profitable part of the factory.

Talks have been taking place for months between the French owned
plane-maker and British company GKN over the ownership of the plant
on the outskirts of Bristol.
And yesterday union leaders claimed they are "100 per cent
certain" that the part of the operation working on composite wings
is being separated and will be relocated to a new plant in
Avonmouth.
Ultra-modern composite wings are already being seen as the way
forward for the aviation industry and a key part of the Airbus's
