I read Richard Maya's recent letter about improving Green Park
Station (GPS) with a mixture of nostalgia and a mournful feeling.
I was simultaneously general manager of the station at Green Park
(1999-April 2001) and arts co-ordinator (1999-2003) in the pre-
Envolve days when the 'GPS' part of the site was run by Green Park
Station (Bath) Ltd.
My brief then was to keep an eye on property maintenance/admin
and to raise the profile of GPS by whatever means I could dream up.
This included a rolling programme of exhibitions in Green Park
Brasserie and The Foyer, developing links with the cultural life of
Bath (Festival and Fringe), putting on a Christmas extravaganza
(lights, trees, Father ...
