The Milwaukee Brewers' roster move to make room for David Riske's
activation from the disabled list was no surprise: Julian Tavarez
was designated for assignment.
The Brewers still have to wait for the reliever to clear waivers,
which won't happen until Monday, and if Tavarez accepts the
assignment to Class AAA Nashville, he will do so as a starter, not a
reliever.
The reason he and not Tim Dillard or Mark DiFelice was sent down
was because manager Ned Yost was finding it difficult to find
innings for the "rusty" Tavarez to get sharp.
