West Hull: Police officers have warned residents about hoax
letters after a man from Glasgow Street spotted a scam.
Terry Eggleton was not taken in by a letter he received telling
him he had won the Spanish lottery.
His alleged benefactors asked him to send personal details,
including his bank account number and sort code, so that he could
claim a prize of 615,810 euro or pounds485,500.
Mr Eggleton contacted the Mail and officers at Humberside Police.
