A woman hurled racial abuse for hours at a man working to help
her homeless daughter and grandchild, a court heard.
Plymouth Crown Court heard that Ann Duffy, 44, of Henderson
Place in the city's Stoke area, repeatedly hurled abuse at the
deputy manager of a support unit that looks after homeless mothers
and their babies.
Duffy allegedly launched her tirade after David Burton, deputy
manager at Westcountry Housing Association in Plymouth, told her
that she had been banned from visiting her 18-year-old daughter and
grandchild, who were living at the unit, on the advice of social
services, the court heard.
Duffy appeared in the court this week to be tried by jury for
racially aggravated ...
