GLENDORA - Some see the history of Glendora Mountain Road as a
prime example of a dangerous roadway. Others say the deaths and
injuries that have occurred on the road are the result of ill-
prepared and unsafe drivers.
The truth may lie somewhere in between.
"It is a well-maintained scenic road where people can escape the
metropolitan world," said California Highway Patrol Officer Hugo
Bustamante. "Each collision has its own circumstance that surrounds
it."
The twisty and narrow 15-mile mountain road has claimed four
lives and seen 165 accidents over the past 13 years.
