Police warn that a man suspected of shooting a 20-year-old
Charleston man in a parking lot near a downtown bar is armed and
dangerous.
Charleston police today identified a suspect in the shooting,
which occurred about 3:15 a.m. Tuesday in a parking lot on Hale
Street and Kanawha Boulevard, said Lt. Jerry Pauley of the
Charleston Police Department.
Roderic Young, of Delaware Avenue, was shot multiple times in the
back shortly after leaving a downtown nightclub.
Although about 75 people were standing in the parking lot when
police arrived, none initially said they were witnesses to the
shooting.
