Article: Indie party votes are not a 'waste' ; Colin Smith, "Fringe parties 'wasting votes'" (Your Say, June 11), may be right when he says the Conservatives will win the next General Election, but this will not be because of its dynamic leadership, more because of the unholy mess the Labour Government have made of things.

Colin Smith, "Fringe parties 'wasting votes'" (Your Say, June
11), may be right when he says the Conservatives will win the next
General Election, but this will not be because of its dynamic
leadership, more because of the unholy mess the Labour Government
have made of things.
But, as for saying any other vote than for a Conservative will be
wasted, is a bit rich.
The Conservative Party, although it occasionally mouths anti-EU
intentions, is not prepared to put this into a written statement -
not even promises, just maybe "perhaps".
As for David Cameron negotiating his way out of the present set-
up in the EU, this sounds rather like "trust me, I'm a politician"!
The undemocratic powers ...
