NEW YORK -- Adam Dunn grabbed a copy of the media clips off a
clubhouse table, a compilation of what every beat writer wrote that
day, and said, "First time. I'm going to read 'em. I'm going into
the bathroom and read 'em for the first time ever."
That's because he knew every beat writer wrote about what he had
to say about Toronto General Manager J.P. Ricciardi's ripping him on
a radio show.
Ricciardi said Dunn didn't love baseball, didn't have a passion
for the game and was nothing but a home run-strikeout deity.
Ricciardi said he was going to call Dunn, but had not as of game
time Friday. "Don't care," said Dunn. "I'm tired of talking about
it. It's over. I'll see him in Toronto ...
