Exeter nightclub bosses James and Julie Eyre say they are ready to try to keep two of the city's most popular venues alive and kicking.

The couple currently run Mambo and Tiffany's on the Quay - but the owner of the overall lease for the building from which the nightclub businesses are run, Enterprise Inns, has put their interest up for sale, looking for offers of around pounds250,000.

Mr Eyre said: "We are continuing to trade and we have already made an offer for the head lease.

"If we are successful we will be making a major investment in the property and carrying out a complete refurbishment.

"If we are not successful we will run Mambo and Tiffany's elsewhere."
