A crew member of the Royal Navy ship on which Prince William is
about to serve has appeared in a Barbados court charged with
assault.
Petty Officer Steven Wilson, 31, pictured right, of HMS Iron
Duke, was accused of slapping and fondling a married woman's bottom.
He was originally charged with indecent assault, but the charge
was later reduced to assault, to which he pleaded guilty.
Petty Officer Wilson was arrested at 5pm on Friday after the
civilian woman complained to the police following the incident,
which occurred while sailors were on shore leave in Barbados.
A spokesman for Barbados police said: "The sailor appeared in
court on Monday. He was charged with assault after the original ...
