PLAYER OF THE GAME
Brewers right-hander Dave Bush did not have a letdown after his
flirtation with a no-hitter in his previous start. Bush turned in
seven strong innings, allowing just four hits and one run. In five
starts this month, he is 3-2 with a 3.09 earned run average.
TURNING POINT
Trailing, 4-0, in the fourth, the Braves put the first two
runners aboard via an error on Prince Fielder and base hit by Yunel
Escobar. But Kelly Johnson hit a liner to Fielder, who dived and
tagged Escobar to double him off. Bush then struck out Mark Teixeira
to end the inning.
