Brave tot William Simpson has already survived open heart surgery
twice and has been told he may need a transplant in the next five
years.
Now his parents are urging children to get involved with a
sponsored walk to help families like them.
William Simpson, from Meir, suffers from Mitral Valve Stenosis, a
rare condition that restricts the heart's capability to circulate
blood around the body.
The boy, aged 21 months, has endured two open heart operations
and faces the possibility of a heart transplant when he is six.
His mother, Tracey, has had to give up work to look after him but
is celebrating being given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the
family to go on holiday together.
