A fighting performance by Cornwall took them to a 54-run win at
Truro's Boscawen Park yesterday on the final day of their Minor
Counties Championship clash with Shropshire. It was Cornwall's
fifth win in the last seven attempts against the Midlands county.
After 14 wickets fell to spin on the second day it was the
general opinion that Cornwall's slow bowlers would hold the aces on
day three. Newquay seamer Rob Harrison had other ideas though,
producing a matchwinning spell of six for 65 from 19 overs.
For much of the first hour however it looked anything but a
Cornish victory on the horizon. From their 151 for nine overnight
