Article: COOL DRY PLACE ; For the kid still in me, hello, `WALLE'

I haven't been much of a fan of kids movies since, well, I was a kid.

Aside from the films of Hayao Miyazaki - "Spirited Away," "Princess Mononoke," "My Neighbor Totoro," etc., all of which you could argue are more mature in their themes than most standard adult- geared offerings - I rarely find myself captivated by them.

Sure, I've enjoyed plenty, but I usually walk away with the same take on kids movies as I do screwball comedies: All right while it lasted, but time to move on to something either more fantastic or enthralling or biting or serious.

I've never quite understood, say, that guy my age who's seen every Disney film five times each and, much more disturbing, owns all the DVDs.
