Forget Snakes on a Plane - here's a snake in a bed!

One young man got a nasty surprise when he found this 'ssssstrange' bedfellow slumbering beneath his sheets.

Patrick Cooke (20), of Hatcliffe House, Immingham, went to bed in the early hours of yesterday morning only to come face-to-forked- tongue with an albino Californian Kingsnake.

"I'd taken off all my clothes and pulled back the covers, and as I put my head on the pillow there it was staring me in the face!" said Patrick.

"I just leapt up, grabbed my clothes, and then... did one!"

Patrick's friends, who he had earlier been enjoying a drink in the same room, were left to look after the snake while he recovered from the shock of finding ...
