Portland engineer seeks a better BIM

Though Building Information Management is on its way to changing the way people build, Ed Dean of Nishkian Dean Consulting Engineers says it still has a long way to go.

"The I in BIM is for information," he said. "You can currently exchange information between BIM software, but there are glitches. We want to change the inoperability that comes with sharing information between pieces of design software."
