Hospital admin is under attack ; Derriford bosses have pledged to improve communications with patients following a rise in the number of complaints about hospital administration.

Derriford bosses have pledged to improve communications with
patients following a rise in the number of complaints about
hospital administration.
Paul Roberts, chief executive of Plymouth NHS Hospitals Trust,
said patients administration was a common theme in complaints, and
the trust needed to address the issue.
Cancelled clinics, lack of letters to reschedule appointments,
and delays in follow-up appointments were identified as particular
grouses from patients.
The trust received 253 formal complaints between January and
March, compared to 234 the previous quarter.
In addition, the hospital's Patient Advice and Liaison Service
(Pals) received 749 complaints between January and March, ...
