A lot of misinformation is being spread about why the Irish
people voted "No" to the Lisbon Treaty.
As someone who went to Ireland to watch the last week of their
referendum campaign, my observations from meeting about 100 people
on the streets of four Irish towns, including Dublin, may be of
interest.
The reasons the Irish people told me they were voting No were:
1. They don't just mistrust, they actually despise the
politicians in both Dublin and Brussels.
2. In a TV broadcast a few days before the vote (I didn't see it
but a number of people in the street told me about it) ...
