Casino not best replacement for DHL

It's sometimes said that the likelihood that voters will approve
casinos depends in part on how well the economy is doing. The better
things are, in the absence of casinos, supposedly, the tougher for
casino backers to win over voters who are on the fence.
Of course, some election outcomes in Ohio on casinos have been
lopsided. The 2006 proposal lost 58 percent to 42 percent. So
whether there ever are enough Ohioans on the fence to make a
difference might be doubted.
Nevertheless, with an eye on yet another casino proposal that's
pending for the November ballot, recent events in Wilmington must be
noted.
