Strickland to hold Dayton education forum ; Governor will discuss school reforms in town hall meetings in 12 cities.

COLUMBUS -- Gov. Ted Strickland will hold forums in Dayton and 11 other cities this summer on reforming education in Ohio as he prepares to introduce his education reform proposal in 2009.

The Dayton forum will be 4:30 to 6 p.m. on July 29, in Boll Theatre in the Kennedy Union at the University of Dayton, Strickland's office announced on Tuesday, July 1.

Most "Governor's Conversation on Education" forums will air live on local PBS stations, a press release said. Stations without a live broadcast will tape and air the local forums later, the release said.

ThinkTV in Dayton, WPTD, Channel 16, and WPTO, Channel 14, will broadcast the forum twice, said Jim Wiener, program manager. It will air ...
