Ex-BSAM CEO Gets New Gig

NEW YORK (HedgeWorld.com) - Richard Marin, the ex-chairman and chief executive of Bear Stearns Asset Management, the unit that housed the two Bear mortgage hedge funds that blew up last year, has launched a New York advisory firm for hedge fund chief operating officers called PointWalk Solutions Network.

Business Week revealed the news on Monday [June 30]. Mr. Marin was the chief of Bear Stearns Asset Management until June 2007. He did not oversee the day-to-day operations of the Bear Stearns High- Grade Structured Credit Strategies Fund or the Bear Stearns High- Grade Structured Credit Strategies Enhanced Leverage Fund, which both collapsed in the early summer of last year.
