Your headlines regarding Prince Charles spending pounds18,916 on
a rail trip give the impression that he is costing the poor taxpayer
a great deal of money.
However, when reading through your article I see that he pays
pounds3,429,000, yes, that's pounds3 million, and his travel
expenses on behalf of the taxpayer amounts to pounds1,393,634.
By my calculations, he costs the taxpayer nothing and contributes
over pounds2 million to all the high-flying politicians furnishing
their homes and paying their bills with taxpayers' money.
I am pleased to see that you mentioned his tax contributions, as
when writing about the Queen's expenditure, not a word was said
about her tax contribution, which is ...
