A royal Navy survey ship is to spend six days in the Westcountry
to strengthen links with residents.
The HMS Enterprise, the Royal Navy's hydrographic survey ship
will be moored in Dartmouth, South Devon, for almost a week from
today to reinforce the ties it has with county as a result of her
affiliation to Tiverton and the Royal Wessex Yeomanry.
As part of the exercise, her 75-strong crew will host a reception
on Friday for 60 guests from the Britannia Royal Naval College and
civic dignitaries as well as other affiliates from Tiverton, giving
them all the opportunity to learn more about the capabilities of a
modern, operational warship.
