She's the woman! Well, Dionne Marsh is a nominee at least. Marsh,
the career scoring leader for the University of New Mexico women's
basketball team, has been nominated for the NCAA's annual Woman of
the Year award. The Mountain West Conference nominated both Marsh
and ex-Brigham Young volleyball player Chelsea Goodman on Wednesday.
The Woman of the Year award honors student-athletes in their
senior year of eligibility for collegiate achievements in service,
leadership, athletics and academics.
In August the NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics will select 10
nominees apiece from Divisions I, II and III. The field will later
