Pet stamps would raise awareness

I was very disappointed to learn that the Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee had again rejected the idea of issuing a commemorative stamp which would focus awareness on the need to spay/neuter companion animals.

Over the past seven years or so, humane organizations have been working hard to get the word out about companion animal overpopulation. Millions of dogs, cats, puppies and kittens must be killed in shelters every year because there are not enough homes to absorb all who are born.
