Clinton Twp. opens communication with Shreve on combining fire department, EMS

SHREVE-- Clinton Township trustees have agreed to talk with Village Council about combining the fire department and emergency medical squad.

The village currently operates an EMS squad, which also serves Clinton Township. The fire station in Clinton Township is operated by the township also serves the village of Shreve.

Trustees and council initially spoke of a joint fire district at the June 16 council meeting.Mayor Keith Rickett said he supports the idea of a district because it will improve the service for both communities.
