DZ alumnae celebrate 50 years

WOOSTER -- In observance of its 50th anniversary, Elizabeth McCoy
welcomed the Wooster Alumnae Chapter recently for a carry-in dinner
and rituals. Members came from Lodi, Orrville, Canton and Wooster.
Charlotte Pierce introduced guest Paula (Brennaman) Schmid of
Canton.
The surprise element for Mary Cornelius and Janice Huff, both of
Wooster, was the conferring of the "Order of The Golden Rose." This
honor is given to Delta Zeta initiates who have completed 50 years
of continued membership in the sorority.
Wooster Alumnae held it first meeting in June of 1957. Shirley
Michener and Jean Burleson were the Wooster organizers of the
alumnae chapter. The National Headquarters required a year of ...
