WOOSTER -- Other than apple pie, nothing is more American than
baseball.
Area fans of the national pastime can go out and watch the game
in its natural form as the wood bat tournament invades National City
Bank Fields in Wooster.
The unique three-day tournament begins today and runs through
Saturday. Junior Legion teams from Barberton, Canton and the Wayne
County area will take part in the annual event.
All the games will be played with a wooden bat as opposed to the
standard aluminum bat used by area high schoolers all season.
"I think it humbles a few of them," Wayne County manager Scott
