N. Central earns preliminary 'excellent' on state report card

N. CENTRAL DISTRICT -- Preliminary results suggest the district earned an "excellent" rating on its 2008 state report card, the superintendent said Monday.

"We're very pleased about these results," Superintendent Larry Acker said, acknowledging the efforts of staff, parents and students in achieving a high rating.

Also during Monday's regular meeting, administrative salary increases were approved. The raises follow the schedule approved in 2007 and average 3 percent per administrator. Acker declined a pay increase for the 2008-09 year.

In facilities business, a variety of one-time expenses was approved.
