Both as a homeowner and small business person, the choice to join
was simple for Daniel Buerkle.
"I worry that my grandkids are not going to be able to afford to
live in this state," said Buerkle, the owner of The Rug Market on
East Ridge Road.
He is just one of the local members of the newly-formed New York
Property Tax Cap Coalition, an association of individuals,
businesses and associations who support Gov. David A. Paterson's
proposed property tax cap reform bill.
According to the group's online membership list and Rochester
Business Alliance's Ellen Rosen, Rochester and Monroe County firms
are well represented among its 300-plus members.
