The key to Independence Day celebrations will be flexibility.
Holiday thunderstorms seem likely, forecasters say, and the
current humidity will persist. That outdoor picnic might have to be
moved indoors.
(Today) looks like it will be a hot and humid day - most of the
time rain-free, AccuWeather meteorologist Carl Erickson said. As we
go later on in the afternoon and evening, there could be
thunderstorms in parts of the area.
The chance of storms won't leave the forecast anytime soon, with
Friday remaining humid with temperatures in the lower 80s, he said.
It will feel rather muggy out there with all the humidity in
place, Erickson said.
